Determining loan, grant, and financial aid eligibility

Determing Eligibility

An important step in determining your eligibility for financial assistance is by knowing what you, as a student, and your parents are going to contribute financially on your academic fees.

Most universities and colleges in the United States apply the Institutional Methodology, as provided by the CSS (College Scholarship Service), to determine the student and parents' contribution for tuition. This methodology is intended to achieve a level of equality and consistency for all applicant students and their families.

The Federal Methodology, as approved by the United States Congress, is applied to establish eligibility for federal & state grant loan programs. The application of both methodologies will provide the information you and your parents need to settle eligibility in a fair and consistent manner.
